The Rest of the Story In Galilee

The Gospel of Mark seems to end like a bad movie. It leaves us hanging, incomplete, literally in the middle of a sentence.
It is up to the readers and hearers of this story to finish it by how they respond to it and live their lives.
But that’s exactly the problem: in our hands the story always seems to end miserably.
Therefore, Jesus writes the rest of the story for us by keeping his promise and appearing “in Galilee.”
Where is “Galilee” for us? In the ordinary and mundane places of this world where God keeps his promises and we are loved.
Therefore, trusting God’s promise, it possible for us to write the rest of the Easter story and bring it to its completion in our ordinary lives “in Galilee.”
