How it all started...
Founded in 1960, King of Glory Lutheran Church was chartered to serve the people of southern Hamilton and northern Marion counties. Our congregation is a member of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod of the ELCA.
Real People. Real Ministries
There are many ways the Spirit of Jesus inspires us at King of Glory: through our worship services (which feature different styles of music); through the educational and spiritual growth of our members in Sunday School and at weekly bible studies; through efforts to involve all of our members in service to others; in friendly fellowship with one another; and, most of all, we feel called to be God's people, striving to be there for others.

Expanding the vision...
Our mission statement (to be “the heart, hands and voice of Christ”) and our vision statement (which features our vision to be a “front porch community of faith” and a “church without walls” ) propel us to act out the amazing grace which we have received from God.
Where we are headed...
In the last several years we have sought to be led by the Spirit of Jesus Christ in our decision-making through prayerful discussion and discernment. This involves serving our neighbors in and around the Carmel . On campus we annually host a Community Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk & Treat. We also have over 15 not-for-profit community groups who use our facility, free of charge. We seek to love the world as Jesus does by reaching out beyond our campus. Throughout the year we serve at a food pantry in Indianapolis and have ongoing interaction with families whose children attend Nora Elementary School. Globally, we help support our missionary in Chile, Karen Anderson and contribute financially to both national and international disaster relief and recovery efforts.
