Worship During the Season of Pentecost

Oct 8, 2023    Rev. Steve Albertin

Welcome to worship at King of Glory Worship and Ministry Center in Carmel, IN!

On this Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost, let us worship the one who leads us by the inspiration of His Spirit!

This Sunday, we welcome Rev. Steve Albertin as our interim pastor! He will be with us until we call a new pastor. Let's make him feel at home!

If you are able, we invite you to join us for communion where you are! You may use any kind of bread and either wine or grape juice, so that you may also receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

Message:

   - "Reversing Revenge" - Rev. Steve Albertin

      - In Jesus Christ the never-ending cycle of revenge and making everyone pay is reversed and undone!

      - The thirst for revenge that afflicts all of us is vividly portrayed in the parable in today's Gospel.

      - The parable not only portrays the hatred and revenge that led to Jesus's death, but also the hatred and revenge that resides in every one of us.

      - Amazingly, God uses human hatred and revenge to love the world. "The stone which the builders rejected (Jesus) became the head of the corner." Jesus's death becomes the very means by which God forgives us and frees us from the cycle of revenge.

      - An example of reversing revenge: a victim forgives his torturer.

Don't forget, you can give your offering online at https://kogcarmel.org/give

We welcome you to join us again next week!

Go in peace and serve the Lord!
