Overheard: Simon and the Centurion

Do you suppose it is possible that various people who were involved in our Lord’s Passion ever had the opportunity to talk with one another about it? Perhaps even right then, while the events were happening? Can you imagine what they might have said? This year's midweek Lenten services invite us to listen in on conversations heard at the foot of the cross—conversations that forever touched and changed lives—just as our have been by the crucifixion of Jesus.

Sometimes life puts us in a place we never expected. We listen in on two men who thought they were simply caught in a coincidence, only to discover they had been drawn into the very center of what Jesus Christ came to do.
