Worship During the Season of Epiphany

Jan 28, 2024    Rev. Steve Albertin

Welcome to worship at King of Glory Worship and Ministry Center in Carmel, IN!

We are in the season of Epiphany. The word epiphany means “revelation.” A light shining into the darkness of this world is an image reflected each Sunday during this season. Every week, as we sing The Epiphany Carol, the lyrics of the song will reflect the Gospel of the day.

On this Sunday of Epiphany, let us worship the one who gathers the whole universe into His radiant presence! He brings wholeness to all that is broken, and speaks truth to us in our confusion. He continually reveals His Son as our Savior!

If you are able, we invite you to join us for communion where you are! You may use any kind of bread and either wine or grape juice, so that you may also receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

We'll get started shortly! Feel free to chat with the community until then!

Today's Message

   - "The Exorcist" - Rev. Steve Albertin

   - In today’s Gospel Jesus drives out/exorcises an unclean spirit/demon/Devil from a man.

   - The demonic is real. The devil is recognized not by his appearance but by what he says.

   - The devil tells lies about God: God cannot be trusted! God is your judge and enemy. You must prove yourself.

   - The devil tries to thwart Jesus’ love for the possessed man with a lie.

   - Jesus silences the devil. Jesus is the enemy of the devil and the savior of those who are possessed.

   - Jesus wants to assure all the possessed of the world that God loves them. They can trust God. That is the point of Jesus’ exorcism of the unclean spirit.

   - Exorcisms continue in the life of the church and in our daily lives as we thwart the lie of the devil and love the world.
