In our country, laws are needed to protect freedom. Without them life would be one big, chaotic FREE FOR ALL.


Christians in Galatia also believed that the law was needed to protect Christian freedom.


Paul disagrees. Christ has set us free from the law. The law destroys the Gospel and Christian freedom.


The Gospel is a gift that is FREE FOR ALL without conditions and obligations. We do not HAVE TO do anything to gain Christ’s love. Christ gives it and we GET TO receive it.


The Christian life is a struggle between slavery and freedom, life in the “flesh” and life in the “spirit.”


We are free not to turn this world into a FREE FOR ALL, but filled with Christ’s spirit that truly is FREE FOR ALL, we can be FREE FOR ALL caring for others.
